Symptoms
Interveinal areas of young leaves become chlorotic, while even the small the veins remain dark green.
Causes
Manganese deficiency
Iron deficiency causes interveinal chlorosis on young leaves as well.
Magnesium deficiency symptoms look similar, but start on older leaves and only the main veins stay green.
Manganese deficiency made worse by
- Organic soils
- Sandy soils
- High pH
- Cold wet periods
- Fluffy soils
