A shared commitment
The growing challenges of hunger, soil degradation, climate change, and supply chain disruptions demand immediate action from all of us. As Yara, we recognize that we need to take part in it. We will do everything in our power to lead a food system transformation to restore our soils, cut emissions, and improve access to healthy food.
That is why we, driven by our purpose, science, and more than 100 years of agronomic knowledge, are committed to giving back to the Earth more than we take. Growing a Nature-Positive Food Future, our new ambition is our commitment to being part of the solution and the reinforcement of our purpose to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet.
The Earth's pulse connects us
For Yara, the Pulse is a metaphor of the “heartbeat” of Earth, a rhythmic symbol of all life on the planet. It reminds us of humanity's connection to Earth, and our shared duty to protect nature. We want it to become a symbol for our ambition – Growing a Nature-Positive Food Future.

Collaborating to decarbonize the food value chain
“I want to offer fossil-free food because it is necessary for a more sustainable food production. We have the opportunity together with Yara to show the world that this is possible.”

Atfarm
Digital tools like Atfarm can make farming more sustainable, profitable, and efficient. This tool analyzes crops, soil health, and weather conditions and enables farmers to manage their fields with high precision and more efficient nutrient management. This protects soil health and supports nature while securing an optimal crop – a win-win for the farmers and nature.
Women in Agronomy
Women represent almost half of the world’s agricultural workforce. Yet, their role is underrepresented, harming their access to resources. Yara’s Women in Agronomy program is committed to increasing the awareness and position of women in agriculture by attracting, empowering, and retaining more women in this field. The aim is to pave a world where women in agribusiness can flourish and grow.
Recycled packaging
Plastic damages the environment at every stage of its life cycle. At Yara, we seek to reduce the environmental impact in every aspect of our operations, including the virgin plastic of our product packaging. Globally we have multiple initiatives that reduce, re-use and re-invent the use of plastic in the food value chain.
